Style Tips I Learned While Traveling
Even the best laid plans can get away from us. As I was packing my bag to photograph an intimate Denver wedding I thought I had done a great job of picking out all my outfits, making note of what was going to be worn with what and on which day.
Let me tell you, the only thing I truly wore was a variation of the same outfit everyday and the actual dress I had packed for the wedding. I had assumed the weather would be similar to Los Angeles, boy was I wrong! Even through the temperatures looked the same on my weather app, Denver was substantially warmer, so there went about half my choices.
Lessons Learned:
So if you think you’re over packing, you probably are.
Leave room in your luggage for shopping or surprise gifts!
Make sure to have two pairs of comfortable shoes
Try to make outfits out of two bottom options, so you just bring a variety of tops to mix and match with
Pack layering options
Using travel cubes to keep everything separate would have made my life so easier
Be sure to pack your shoes in their own bags
Check everything and just walk on with a small backpack containing your wallet, necessities and your laptop
Personal preference, but for sake of weight and rolling it around I wish I had used my medium luggage piece and not my largest one.
Happy travels!
